It has been a crazy week! We moved back to Utah and are organizing and getting our lives back in order. Thank goodness for Thanksgiving! It gave us a chance to take a break and visit with a ton of family. I love our family. The food was so good the only thing I regret is not making my own turkey! There is always next year. My Dad put together a beautiful feast the food was awesome and the ambiance was just breath taking. The kids were having a blast with there aunts, uncles and cousins. There was never a dull moment. I am so thankful for this time of the year when we get to reflect on what our blessings are. We are truly blessed. Especially to know about the gospel of Jesus Christ. To him I give thanks to this holiday season.

We've been inside packing so that means the kids are watching a lot of TV so I decided to take them out for a walk around the block and a trip to the park. There was a lot of posing on the way down the slide. I sure love these kiddies!

We just got some family pictures done last month and I thought I would share a few. The kids were all really good. I was looking forward to Tyler's super grin but he wouldn't share it...we had a great photographer and I think she got some great shots.
We are going to be super busy this week moving, I am hoping for the weather to cooperate because man oh man I hate moving in snow!
Tyler has almost mastered his walking skills as seen on the video below. He is so excited about every independent move he makes...it's hilarious the joy that spills out of his mouth when he makes it from one spot to the other.

I love this blog post from Or so she says.... It's reminded me why it's so important to play with our kids. I am really bad at it I have to admit so this article really gave me the extra umph to want to get up and really do it....Read it you'll be glad you did:

Playing with my kids is the most rewarding, behavior-changing (for both of us), calming activity.

Sometimes I dread it. Just like exercise and going outside on cold days. But every time I do take that time to get on the ground and find something fun to do, I feel like a good mom. I go to sleep knowing that it was a good day...and I completed my mission. I love that feeling!

And my kids respond to me playing with them...they are happier, and more centered and less whiny and more (not less!) apt to entertain themselves. If a particular week is a tough one, (especially when I had 3 little ones), you know...one of those weeks when you feel like you are doing something "wrong"...you just don't know what yet and you are at Wit's End? I'd make a conscious effort to PLAY.

Just us...play groups don't count, friends over doesn't count...just mom and kid(s).

And you know what? After a couple days...behavior changed. It was sort of miracle cure. I felt it was some sort of secret.

I can't imagine playing with them for hours and hours. Really....I have 5 children! I don't think it would be good for them to constantly demand that I be a playmate to them. But getting them started with something, by showing an active interest and leading them into creativity...that's my job as a mom, I feel. Whether it's Legos, or Polly Pockets (sniff sniff...a thing of the past...I loved those things!), or coloring books, or puzzles...they didn't seem to care...they just wanted ME showing an interest, quietly work side by side.

Today was a stay inside under your covers kind of day. It was so cold. While living here in California I have not ever been really cold but today was cold!
As I was at church today we were talking about the sacred role of motherhood. Listening to the lesson it made me remember Jared and how he woke up in the early morning with a bad dream. He was sobbing telling me that he dreamt that I fell off a ship. He kept on saying I love you mom over and over again....what a sweet tender soul right? It just breaks my heart when he is scared and sad like that. I love this kid so much and I want to do everything I can to be a great mom to him. I know that my role is so important in his and my other kids lives. I hope that I will have some sort of lasting effect on my children in this life. I love them so much.
In other news we have finally made the chose to move back to Utah. I am just a little bit freaked about it because we have 3 weeks to move and I have barley wrapped it around my head that we are going! So this next week will be full of cleaning and organizing and finding boxes. I am really excited to go, and be near most of my family.

Halloween

The middle of this week we decided to take a last minute trip to Utah. The kids were more then excited to spend a few days with there uncles, aunts, and cousins and they were especially excited to go trick-or-treating with them. To all the many people who we were not able to see (and there were many of you) we are so sorry. The good news is that Jamin now has a job in Utah so our family is moving back! So we will be able to see you all soon.
Jared and Braden were not really that picky about costumes this year. I think all they cared about was getting candy. Sadie loved being Repunzel. Tyler was a bunch of French fries thanks to my brother Aaron. And I dressed as a cow girl...I know my costume is way week but next year I'll try to bring it. All in all Halloween went pretty good. We were surrounded by people we love and nothing could be better then that.

Fear

It seems like most my life I have let fear control me. As I have become older I have realized that this said fear has been holding me back from amazing things. I get really excited when I think about overcoming my fears, and when I do in some small way do something to get out of my comfort zone it fuels my passion of not living in these fears. I know that Satan Would have me live in my fears so that I will not progress and just be sad and scared all the time and by golly I'm not going to let him control my life that way. From the very beginning we have had our agency. That means we have control over what our lives are going to turn out like even if we are surrounded by hellish circumstances.....I now know just because I had rotten childhood it Does NOT mean that I have to have a rotten "adulthood". I know from experience that this is easier said then done. Heavenly Father said "men are that they might have joy". So as I sit here and contemplate my life I am ready to move forward and face more fears, with God as my companion And one foot in front of another, I'm ready .

Tyler's Birthday

Tyler turned 1 year yesterday! He is quickly becoming a toddler and less a baby. He moves along the furniture like a pro. On Monday we had FHE with medsmires, medshire, and Armenay (my mom's mom, dad and sister) and While we were saying the closing prayer there was this squeal of delight as Tyler walked from Jamins legs to the coffee table. It was pretty funny because it was total silence because the prayer was being said and most people had there eyes closed. Needless to say he is proud to be independent. Lately we hear a lot of da-da-da's and ma-ma's we also hear him say oooo with his cute little lips puckered up like a fish. Tyler's also proud that he's able to join the rest of the kids in there wrestling matches with daddy. For a week or so he would stalk Jamin down until he got a few good minutes of wwf in. Tyler's birthday was very relaxed he got some good naps in during the morning, and we played like crazy at the park. He can now go down the slide by himself (while I catch him of course) and the swings were awesome he loves pretending to kick me in the butt and make me go flying. He got a big cupcake of his own and we let him dig in, of course he didn't know what to do with this gigantic cupcake but with a little bit of help he figured it out. He got this cute scooter truck, a shake and go lightning McQueen and some staking cups.
Tyler is just a delight to have in the family everyone loves him. It makes me sad for a little while to see my babies grow up. I am very proud of Tyler and all of his accomplishments in his 1 year of life so far. I am so excited to see what this next year will bring!

Our christmas day wasn't very festive this year. We were in the process of moving yet again. So we didn't have any Christmas decorations at all. Boy, oh boy did we have presents though! Sadie got a ton of princess stuff and the boys got Legos. Sadie has been in love with princesses for some time and she loves dressing and undressing herself and her princesses all the time. This is the 3rd yr in a row that we have gotten the boys legos. They have built up a pretty large collection. Today as we speak they are putting together there own mini figurines. I thnk they play with the "guys" a whole lot more then they do the actual ships and vehicles that come with the set. Does anyone know of a place where I can just buy the guys? Tyler was able to score a bunch of cute clothes this year, and has since grown out of them all. Dad got a new suit and Mom got a new radio that hooks up to her iphone.

The holiday season was sort of different this year becuase it was just us. We usually are hurrying off to other peoples houses to visit but this year it was just us, I really did feel sad because I felt like christmas should be a time where your with all your family you haven't seen in a while. So next year Jamin and I have decided to go see family. Even though I hate traveling in the snow, it's worth the sacrafice of being close to all of the people you love. We did have a good time together though. We put legos together until late at night and listend to christmas music while playing games, and of course ate, and ate until we felt like we were gonna die.

I think Jared was just as excited as Braden was about his new toys! Good thing Braden loves to share with Jared, just as long as he plays with him.

Braden has had alot of changes this month. He started his first day of kindergaren this month and he also celebrated his 5th birthday! I think five is extra special because you can't always be one whole hand old. I appreciate Braden and all of his energy and spunk! I am so glad we have him in our lives.

Here I am again on the computer. It seems like I spend more time on this stinkin' thing then with my kids sometimes. I just wanted to post and say some of the things that I am greatful for, Hearing my son Jared read from a book while I am not in the room, and when I have not asked him too, When Braden decides that he really does like his sister Sadie and says and does something loving for her, when I hear the garage door open and its my dear husband who works so hard for our family, When I feel my sweet baby make long stretches in my belly even when it hurts like heck, and lastly and this one is probably one I am most greatful for, is when I am able to get a direct prompting from our father in heaven about what needs to be done, I am so greatful for those moments!

I was reading over at cjaneenjoyit and she was talking about natural child birth. I kinda liked what she had to say:

On my parent's last day we went to Disney land and enjoyed an amazing character breakfast. Sadie got to see a Jasmine and Belle. She was actually happy to see them this time round. She was still hesitant to actually let any of them hold her though.

This is a Rag quilt I made for baby boy in one day. I'm pretty amazing huh? I'm sure if I would have spent a little more time on it it would have been perfect but my personality is the type that I just wants to see the finished product asap. I like the way it turned out though the green side is so soft and cozy. Can October come any sooner? Wait a minute take as long as you want October, I'm not ready yet. :D

Have you ever seen a skate bowl before? It looks like this:

Well, I have a little story that goes along with this skate bowl. Braden, Sadie and I were playing at the park (which is next to the skate park) yesterday morning and we had been there a good 2 hrs. I told Braden it was time to go. Well, as I was putting sadie in the stroller to go I turn around and I see no Braden. I call his name, no Braden. After 30 seconds or so I hear him yelling my name, his voice sounded really scared. So I started to panic. I thought someone had stollen him. I started running with my stroller towards his voice towards the skate park. In my panic I left Sadie in the stroller next to the fence by the skate park and found Braden in this 9-10 ft deep skate bowl. Well as you can tell my brain wasn't in the right place and I slid down the skate bowl to get Braden, and then I too was stuck in this stupid skate bowl, with Sadie who found her way over to me staring at me from the top. So here I am pleading with Sadie to sit down at the top, and I with my pregnant self was trying to take a running start and bolt up this bowl. I was defeated there was no way I could get my self up. So I had to scream for help. Luckily there was a lady who was on the side lines watching the whole thing she found a maintenance guy who along with another man helped Braden and I up. Thankfully Braden wasn't injured! During this fiasco I asked Braden why he did it and he said: "I just really wanted to see the skate park" ( I told him a couple weeks ago he was too young to go inside) My life is always full of adventure when Braden is around.

Making breakfast for dinner

One thing I love is breakfast foods. And nothing is more fun than having breakfast for dinner. My kids love it. Tonight I am going to be making an extra special breakfast for dinner because I want my kids to remember that mom does make special things for them for dinner. Well most of my recipes come from familyfun.go.com here are a few shots from there site. These are things we are going to be eating tonight.

I actually got the itch for bagels because I was day dreaming of the day when I was back at my sister in laws house and she made these amazing bagels not only did her whole house smell of amazing goodness but the bagels seriously tasted like heaven, defiantly better then any store bought bagel Ive tasted.

I think my love of breakfast came from my dad who is an amazing cook. He works really hard to make a decent meal for us his kids. And I am telling you his omelet is off the hook. I wish I had the skills to make it. I try but do not succeed. Love you dad.

Dad are you sure you don't want to stop by before you go to Hawaii and just real quick make me an omelet? I'm sure the twins that you think I am having would appreciate it.

Lemon tree chicken

Nanna's amazing lemon tree chicken

4 chicken breasts
4 Swiss cheese slices
2 lemons (you need 1/3 cup of juice)
1 pint of heavy cream
1/2 cube of butter
Flour for coating chicken
1/2 C water

Melt 1/2 cube butter in pan. While butter is melting flour chicken on both sides. Add chicken to pan and let brown on both sides. When chicken is brown on both sides add lemon juice, zest of both lemons, and 1/2 cup of water. Cover pan and let chicken cook in juices for 3 minutes on each side. Transfer chicken to a casserole dish and add swish cheese to the top of all chicken pieces. Now broil your chicken in the oven just until the cheese on top is bubbly.
With the leftover juices from the pan add to a sauce pan with most of the heavy cream, and allow to warm and mix together. When assembling the dish simple just add the super yummy lemon cream on top! I usually have rice as a side with some sort of frozen veggie.

As many of you know my husband is a muffin lover, he hates eating cold cereal for breakfast in the morning, like the rest of us. He loves the Bran muffin recipe his Dear parents used to make. But guess what? We don't have that recipe and we have no idea where it is. So I am on a scavenger hunt to find the best bran muffins! I just recently came across these Raisin BranMuffins

Often times when Jared and Braden are playing together they are reenacting some sort of battle. I interrupt them all the time to try and get them to do there chores. One day we were in the car and I told Braden to get his seat belt on during one of these battles and I hear him say pause, (getting his seat belt on) un-pause. (now has his seat belt on) As if the battle was stopping and restarting. I thought it was so adorable.
On to other news. We finally locked down a place to live in a cozy little cow farm town in Eastvale, California (also known as: corona) I love the area and am looking forward to getting to know new people. I am so excited because we are going to be actually living in a house. which we have never been able to do our whole marriage. We do have one extra room for all of you loved ones who want to visit! So please anyone who wants to visit don't be hesitant we would loved to have you come our way.

I was in the kitchen with Sadie getting ready to get her breakfast and she was standing on a chair by the counter and I told her she needed to get in her seat, but she wouldn't have it she wanted to sit in the big kids seats. I again told her to sit in her seat and she said: "No not that seat." I guess this is her way of telling me she is a big girl.

Our trip to Washington was fun. We were able to see Kayla get married. And spend lots of time together as a family.

This was our last summer fling before the cold weather set in. We went to our favorite reservoir Jordanelle and we rode the jet skis. WE all got majorly burnt including the kids, but it was fun to be together as a family and build enjoyable moments together.

I went all out with Bradens birthday this year. I only wish I would have gotten more pictures to document the moment. I got all of my ideas Here.

I made star wars robes for all of them. We had yoda soda and galactic pizza, pin the light saber on the jedi, destroy the death star (a pinyata), and the birthday was complete with a battle from darth vader (jamin). Braden of course was thrilled that his birthday was going to be star wars. Both Jared and Braden have been obsessing over star wars for over a year now. I am so greatful to have my Braden boo. He brings so much excitment and joy into our lives.

We made these awesome hamburgers and french fries inspired by bakerella. (hers look way better, but I love mine) They were for Dad for fathers day.

Jared's 6th birthday. "Fire power"
Jared is such a like able person. All of his friends were really excited to come to his party. He got a shark slip 'n' slide and a ton more star wars guys. He had fun sliding and playing relay races with his friends.
Sadie bit through her top lip falling out of her high chair. It was so sad, she looked so swollen and so sad all day. I felt like a horrible mom. Luckily mouth wounds heal supper fast. Sadie loves both of her brothers. Jared is super playful with Sadie and takes her on bike ride up and down the sidewalk she races to the door daily because all she wants to do is play with her jare-jare. What a great brother.

So I spent all of sunday trying to get the $75 off your purchase of $100 or more at oldnavyweekly.com. And guess what? I got it. So as you can guess I left right away today and went shopping. Sadie was in need of some major summer clothing. Well when I went out to the check out the total was 104.00 and the scanned the coupon and the left over total should have been a little over 25 well the total ended up being 2.00! I asked the cashier if that was right and she said I guess, that is what the computer says. So I got 104.00 worth of clothes for 2.00 Yes I am happy! Wahoo.

I just saw the news story on this beautiful baby girl Maggie:

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - Maggie Agnew is a bright, 10 month girl who is suffering from multiple medical problems. She has been called “The Incredible Shrinking Baby” because now at 10 months, she weighs only 10 pounds.

Specialist after specialist has tried to diagnose the problem. But so far the cause of her ailments eludes them as does a treatment.

Her parents now believe that the best hope for Maggie may be at Boston Children’s Hospital. But to go there will cost money — lots of money. And even though the Agnews have health insurance, the copays and deductibles have already left them with a substantial debt.

I had an awesome tutor growing up. I don't think he realized how much of an effect he had upon me. He was such a great example of the Savior. Always trying to help and serve others. I know we are our happiest when we serve other people. I challenge everyone LDS or not to try and help someone this week. This is what the savior did and he would have us do the same. I know that while your serving you will feel his love.

This is how I found Jared after I was done getting Braden dressed from taking a bath. He was still wrapped up in his towel zonked. He was so tired. He fell asleep in mid play while waiting for me to help get him ready for bed.

Sadie was seriously laking in girly toys so I bought her this new walker/stroller. I love her face in this picture. She is always smiling our giving some sort of happy face.

Hot bum-bum

We were watching biggest looser down stairs while the kids played upstairs. A couple minutes later I heard water, lots of water so I asked Jamin to go upstairs to check things out. Well, what Jamin found was naked boys in the bathroom playing hot bum-bum. What is hot bum-bum you ask? It's when they each take turns standing in the bath tub while the other throws hot water on the other persons bum-bum.

Yes, I am still laughing. Maybe it's becuase I am there mom.

We have been sick for the last 3 weeks. It's been bad. Sadie finally got better just in time for us to watch my little neice and nephew. Aren't they little angels? They were when I was watching them. Cute little guy huh?

And Taylee is super sweet.

We watched them for a full week. It was a little adventure. But it made me love them even more. And now I miss them.
I think I now have the sickness that everyone had. Dang it! Hopefully it wont be as killer as it was on my kids.

Yes, I admit I spend too much time on the 'puter. Well I was on it a couple days ago and I knew that Sadie was close by. She loves playing by the shoes which are by the stairs. Recently she has gone up a couple of stairs and has not ventured any further. Well I had been on the computer 15 minutes and I had not heard from Sadie in a while. I go up to look by the shoes and she was not there. I decide to look in the bathroom, then the kitchen no Sadie. I start to freak out run up stairs and find Sadie in the toy room. Oh how my heart started to race. How could such a teeny tiny sweety get up the stairs so quickly. Whats next, a marathon?

When the kids turn old enough I let them help me with the dishes. Recently I purchased some yellow gloves to do my dishes because my hands have been really dry and doing the dishes made them dryer. Well when Braden saw them he really wanted to wear them. he forgot all about the dishes and ran around the house with his scary hands.
Jared is still loving school. He really wants to hang out with his friends every day. We recently went to Jareds parent teacher conference and he is doing so well. His reading especially. We are so proud of him.
Sadie loves playing "star wars guys" with the boys. I caught them all playing on the couch the other day. It was so cute to see Sadie have the little action figures in her hands. She even made little sound effects too.

I had a great Christmas. I was able to visit some of my family that I haven't seen in a while. Johnny my step Dad.
The kids got some good light saber fights going on with dad. As you can tell they are normally pretty intense.
And of course there was lots of mommy and Sadie hanging out......
I mean a ton. Who could not love that face? I just cant stop taking pictures.
My little sister Esther got a new MP3 player and a digital camera for Christmas. She took this picture of Herself, Me, and Josh (My bro). Christmas Traditions

Over the next couple of weeks I am going to start looking for new traditions for our family during the Christmas season. I just loved having Christmas traditions growing up it just gave me so many happy memories and I want my children to have happy memories of Christmas throughout there childhood and growing up years. So here is Idea # 1 that I just found today on someone else's blog. Wrap up all of your Christmas stories like a present and everyday until Christmas you will have a fun surprise book waiting to unwrap and read. Isn't that so cute? Sometimes it's easy to get all focused on presents and the worldly aspect of Christmas, and I just love the idea of having stories to remind my children about Jesus Christ and his life.

Jamin has his computer at school most days so I don't get to post as often as I like. We had a blast for halloween we went to Tecia's house and got lots of candy. We let the kids gorge themselves all night. Tecia gave us a great idea and told us to take all the candy and throw it away and tell the kids the great pumpkin came and took it away. Jared and Braden woke up the next moring with a bag of candy with 10 peices in it and a note from the great pumpkin saying: "trick or treating is lots of fun but to much candy can hurt your tum." Heres a few peices to enjoy Happy Halloween -The great pumpkin.

This is a picture Braden took of Sadie. Isn't the angle cool. I wouldn't have been able to get that angle. Braden loves the camera and wants to take pictures every time he can see my camera. Jamin will kill me if I let this one get broken. (camera # 4) This is a beanie I made Sadie. It is my first attempt and I hope to make some more. Hopefully for the boys too.

Jamin Accepted an offer to work in California this week. The end of this summer Jamin will be working In Ontario California or Riverside.

Pumpkin Carving

We did our pumpkin carving tonight. I thought that the boys would really have fun taking out all the guts of the pumpkins but they did not want to touch the guts lest they get there hands slimy. So they decided to get spoons. Doesn't Braden just have the best smile ever?

The pumpkins are cute as can be but you'll have to wait to see them until I go buy matches.

Here are a few pictures I wanted to share of my family. Our last weeks in California we decided to go to Disney land. Jamin's sister Kayla and her friend came with us and we had so much fun. We didn't tell Jared that we were going to Disney Land so he was totally surprised. His face was so cute when he finally realized that we were actually at Disney Land. Braden had alot of fun, especially riding buzz light year, he did not want to stop riding buzz's ride. Sadie was a good lil' sport always smiling at the right time. She's such a good smiler. We also spent the day at Huntington beach. Braden always asks now that we are back in Utah if he can go to the beach. He doesn't understand distance he thinks we can just take a day off and go to the beach like we did in the summer. Braden Celebrated his 3rd birthday a couple of weeks ago. He was so cute singing happy birthday to himself. "Happy Birthday to Braden Happy birthday dear Braden." The other day Braden was Praying over his food: "Dear Heavenly Father bless my food, bless that we can play at the park, and bless mommy that she will be happy. In the name of Jesus Amen." That just brought tears to my eyes. What a thoughtful lil guy.
